Fluence Named Tier 1 Energy Storage Supplier by S&P Global

Fluence Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLNC) has secured a Tier 1 designation for energy storage systems in S&P Global Commodity Insights’ inaugural Premier List of Tier 1 Cleantech Companies, a classification that identifies top-tier suppliers across solar, wind, and storage technologies.

The recognition highlights Fluence’s market position as one of the most bankable and reliable storage providers, with evaluation criteria spanning manufacturing scale, market presence, financial performance, and sustainability. The list is updated annually, providing developers and investors with a benchmark for trusted cleantech partners.

Fluence CEO Julian Nebreda said the award validated the company’s “commitment to bankability, scale, and sustainable innovation,” reinforcing its role in global renewable energy integration.

The accolade follows several recent honors. In August 2025, Fluence was named to Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group’s “America’s Greatest Companies 2025” list, while in July, the Australian Clean Energy Council honored the company’s Liddell Battery Project, developed with AGL and BlackRock Industries, with its Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Award.

The Tier 1 classification places Fluence in a select group of storage suppliers recognized for their ability to scale and deliver in a market that is seeing accelerating demand for grid stability and renewable integration. As the global storage sector grows—driven by clean energy targets, power reliability needs, and increased financing scrutiny—bankable suppliers like Fluence are positioned to benefit.
