Walmart Outage Affects Thousands of Shoppers
Walmart experienced an outage Tuesday morning, leaving thousands of customers unable to access the retailer’s mobile app and website.
More than 6,500 users reported outages shortly after 7 a.m. ET Tuesday, according to outage tracking site Downdetector. Nearly three-fourths of users reported problems with Walmart’s mobile app, while about a quarter experienced problems with the company’s website.
Some users reported difficulties with or an inability to checkout, according to Downdetector.
“We experienced a brief outage early this morning, all systems were quickly restored,” a Walmart spokesperson said.
An account run by the company on X, called WalmartHelp, recommended that any users continuing to experience issues with its app try uninstalling and reinstalling. “If using the website, try clearing your cache and cookies.”
